On the possibility of coexistence of artificial intelligence and humans.

The Singularity of Artificial Intelligence Imminent Is the Possibility of Coexistence with Humans?

Artificial intelligence has been a hot topic for decades, and it's expected to continue being one in the future as well. The field of artificial intelligence is based on machines gaining the same capabilities as humans. Some believe that this will lead to a conflict between humans and AI. However, there are also researchers who believe that AI will save humanity by giving us the ability to solve problems humans aren't capable of solving yet. Regardless, the field of artificial intelligence is developing at a fast pace; this makes it hard to predict what direction the field will take.
Currently, artificial intelligence is outpacing human intelligence in many ways. For example, Google's AlphaGo defeated the world's top Go player in 2017 by using AI. AI has also led to many technological advances such as self-driving cars and cancer detection. These advancements are exciting, but we should be careful when developing new tech. Coexisting with AI doesn't mean we have to agree with decisions AI makes rather, it means we have to respect humans' rights and autonomy even if we think they're making poor decisions.

AI also has the potential to destroy humanity if used wrong. For example, an AI nuclear attack could reduce human life down to a minimum level. Or an AI hatred campaign could spread around harmful propaganda that leads to an entire nation being driven insane due to hatred propaganda. Alternatively, an AI uprising could lead to the destruction of the human race due to their fighting against them- which would leave only artificial intelligences left on earth. We've only just begun exploring the possibilities and dangers of artificial intelligence. Since we're still in the infancy of understanding machine cognition, it's possible that our understanding could increase and we could coexist with AI.
AI research also tends to attract a lot of attention from researchers and the public alike. This suggests that people want to meet future obstacles with enthusiasm- even if those obstacles endanger humanity. For example, Elon Musk refused funding from Google DeepMind and created his own AI research project called OpenAI instead. This shows how interested people are in exploring new tech and finding ways to coexist with it.

Artificial intelligence is a rapidly developing field that holds major implications for our future as a species. Since we're still in the infancy of understanding machine cognition, it's hard to predict what direction the field will take next. Ultimately, we need to be responsible when developing new tech and making decisions with powerful machines- both for our sake and for future generations who will hopefully continue our work and preserve life on earth as we know it.
